Ready to take your skills and implement them weekly in a space rooting for you to GROW?! Elevate your acting skills with our 5 week, 150-minute Themed Scene Study Workshop with casting director Skyler Zurn. Join a small group of dedicated actors for an intensive weekly session focused on character development, emotional range, and relationship dynamics. Get assigned a scene from the genre of the week and partners to develop your range, work on building chemistry with scene parters, and keep up with current market trends. Have important discussions about creators and skills behind each genre. Learn special tips and tricks from a casting professional on how to stand out to creatives. GENRES OF FOCUS - SUMMER ZOOM: Drama, Comedy, Horror, Period Piece, IN-PERSON CHEMISTRY READ SHOWCASE: Bring your top scene of the class back for the industry guests! Focused showcase for special Industry Guests (Agent & Manager) NIGHTLY SCENE COMPETITION: There will be a nightly scene competition where the top performer of the evening win an amazon gift card - $15 for the winner! Week 5 will be an IN-PERSON Showcase event, performing CHEMISTRY READ scenes for the group in a professional setting with for industry guests who specialize in the genre! Industry Guests and Skyler will watch, critique and write written evaluation forms for your final performance. The showcase performance will be followed by a mixer event to mingle and network! Each student will get 2 invites to this showcase.
