Join us for an IN-PERSON class with Luna Zhang, an accomplished producer, investor, and advocate for next-generation filmmakers. Luna will lead a discussion on the current independent film landscape and how to successfully navigate the production process. She’ll also share what she looks for in performances when casting actors for roles as well as discuss communication on & off set with the creative team! There will be a detailed Q&A, moderated by Skyler Zurn to ensure all your questions are answered. The discussion will followed by a performance opportunity: participants will present a 1–2 minute monologue and receive written feedback and direction from Luna via an evaluation form distributed at the end of class. This is optional if you are signing up as a producer/writer/director. ABOUT LUNA: As an independent producer and business development executive, Luna Zhang is adept at deal-making, investor relationships, strategic partnerships, finance, and sales and distribution. She also has strong relationships with top management companies, agencies, producers, and other above-the-line talent. She spoke as a panelist for World Woman Foundation at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival (The Festival de Cannes), where she addressed equity for women in entertainment and advocacy against domestic violence. To date, Luna has executive produced feature films with budgets exceeding $100 million.Luna has an MBA from University of Southern California, and certificates in Entrepreneurship and Leadership from her extended study at Harvard University.
